Annual General Meeting

By order of the Board of Directors of the Markham Village B.I.A. on February 4th 2019, that notice be given of the Markham Village BIA Annual General Meeting to be held on:  

Date:                 March 4, 2019

Time:                 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Location:            The Duchess of Markham (53 Main Street North)


The purpose of the meeting is to transact the following business:

1. To confirm the minutes of the Annual General Meeting held in 2018.

2. To Receive and Consider the final report of the Chair and of the Auditor for the financial year 2017 and the interim report for 2018 (to be provided at the meeting).

3. To Receive and Consider the proposed 2019 operating budget (to be provided at the meeting)

4. To hold an election for a new Board of Directors for 2019 - 2022 term.

5. To transact any other business that is properly brought before the meeting.

The meeting is open to all business property owners and tenants of the Markham Village BIA and interested members of the community. In accordance with the provisions of the Ontario Municipal Act, voting at the meeting is limited to one vote per member of the BIA.
