| June 27 was a beautiful summer day with just the right amount of sun and not too hot. A perfect day to do a little shopping in our open air farmers’ market, take in some local talent and pick up a few cooking tips from one of Markham's resident chefs.
Shaun Kelly, Executive Chef for over 8 years and part owner of Al Dente Italian Restaurant, delighted crowds at the Main Street Markham Farmers' Market as he demonstrated how to use fresh-from-the-garden ingredients from market vendors to prepare and serve up his “Grilled Spring Chicken” salad.
The dish consisted of:
Marinated chicken breast
Spanish onion rings
Yellow tomatoe slices
Orange pepper strips
Fresh baby asparagus
Garnished with sweet ripe strawberries
Chef Kelly topped off the piping hot dish with his own raspberry vinaigrette dressing and added a dash of his balsamic reduction and everyone got a taste.
Piping hot from the grill… delicious… light… satisfying.

Main Street Class Environmental Assessment

Markham Village BIA Board of Management Meetings
The Markham Village BIA Boar dof Management meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month, at 7:00 am. Location is 132 Robinson Street., Markham Ontario.
